Writtle College has a limited number of places available on its degree, foundation and diploma courses starting this September which offer exciting graduate employment opportunities.
The College will launch its clearing service on Thursday 13 August with the admissions team and expert academic staff on-hand to talk to students about their options.
Based on a beautiful 220-hectare estate, Writtle College is one of the oldest specialist institutions in the UK and offers a range of land-based, design and sport courses at various levels of academic study. There are also a number of scholarships and bursaries that students can apply for.
The College has places available on one, two and three year undergraduate programmes – including part time options - in Agriculture, Animal Management / Science, Art and Design, Conservation, Equine, Horticulture, Landscape Architecture and Garden Design, Professional Floristry, Sports and Exercise Performance and Cycling Performance. The College also offers postgraduate, research and College-level courses.
A partner of the University of Essex – with students graduating with degrees from the university – the institute boasts staff with leading academic credentials who are involved in a number of high-profile research projects around the world.
With accommodation for around 400 students on site, Writtle College is well-known for its community feel on campus and its personal approach to learning. On top of this, there are a host of social events run by its active Students’ Union, which won the ‘Best Small and Specialist Students’ Union’ at the National Union of Students awards in 2013.
Dr Stephen Waite, Principal of the College, said: “This can be a stressful time for students who haven’t achieved the grades they needed or have left it too late to apply through the usual process but Writtle College has a number of exciting options available through Clearing.
“For many people, this situation can give them the chance to think about courses and a career that they may not have considered before. Our specialist staff can talk through students’ interests and the opportunities available to them, supporting them to make the most informed decision about their future.”
