Our Further Education students enjoyed dyeing their tongues blue in some fun scientific experiments before meeting inspirational employers from various industries to chat about future career options!
There were 30 contributors to the day, including Chelmsford City Council parks and green spaces department, two horticultural maintenance companies, a designer who used to create gardens for people with disabilities plus Danbury Outdoors, Chelmsford Sports and Athletics, Active Essex and the horticultural employment agency Anders Plus. Students could also find out about staying at Writtle College to study a degree or other Higher Education qualification.
Mark Yates, Writtle College Careers Coordinator, said: “These types of events are a really good way for current students to find out about their next steps, and what opportunities are open for them in the future. It is also a chance to talk to employers about what they are looking for in recruits.”
