South Korea

South Korea

You will find a warm welcome waiting for you at Writtle University College. We have a number of South Korean students who study with us each year on our design courses, such as Floristry and Floral Design, Garden Design and Landscape Architecture. We are happy to accept enquiries for all of our courses and are here to help you through the application process.

We are represented by agents in Seoul and have alumni you can speak to. We visit South Korea twice a year, in March and October. If you would like to arrange a meeting with an academic or the International Marketing Officer when they visit, please get in contact with us.

Established in 1893, Writtle University College has been producing leaders in the land-based industries and organisations for more than 120 years. Writtle is one of the oldest specialist institutions in the UK and offers a range of land-based, design and sport courses at various levels of academic study including undergraduate and postgraduate.

Our campus

Writtle University College’s campus is a friendly and safe community where students from a variety of cultures and countries can mix and establish lifelong friendships.

Living in Writtle

Writtle is a quintessential English village in Essex with lovingly maintained Tudor houses, an ancient church and pubs. Its historical records go back as far as 1086. Its proximity to London makes it an ideal place to live as we have the best of both worlds, a tranquil place to live and close enough to one of the most diverse and exciting cities in the world.

Trains to London run every 10 minutes from Chelmsford city train station, which is 10 minutes away from the University College on the free shuttle bus and you can be in London in less than 40 minutes.

For Undergraduate Study

High School Diploma holders can gain entry to a foundation programme whilst students with a Junior College Diploma can gain entry to a Bachelor degree.

For Postgraduate Study

Students with a good Bachelors Degree, awarded by a high ranking institution can gain entry to a postgraduate taught course, whilst a Masters Degree can gain entry to a PhD programme.

English Language Requirement

You must be able to demonstrate a sufficient understanding of the English Language. You can check the IELTS score you require for your course level here. If you need to improve your English skills, you can apply for a place on our summer Pre-sessional English Language courses, where you can learn English for academic purposes, English culture and history, and have the opportunity to visit famous English landmarks in cities such as London and Cambridge.
