Writtle University College’s international community has been expanding in the last few years, welcoming students from all over the world, including Kenya.
Established in 1893, Writtle University College has been producing leaders in the land-based industries and organisations for more than 120 years. Writtle is one of the oldest specialist institutions in the UK and offers a range of land-based, design and sport courses at various levels of academic study including Postgraduate and Undergraduate courses. Courses are on offer in Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Science, Postharvest Technology, Landscape Architecture, Animal Management, Art, Bio veterinary Science and Sports Science.

Writtle is a quintessential English village in Essex with lovingly maintained Tudor houses, an ancient church and pubs. Its historical records go back as far as 1086. Its proximity to London makes it an ideal place to live as we have the best of both worlds, a tranquil place to live and close enough to one of the most diverse and exciting cities in the world.Trains to London run every 10 minutes from Chelmsford city train station, which is 10 minutes away from the University College on the free shuttle bus and you can be in London in less than 40 minutes.
For Undergraduate Study
Students with high marks in the Kenyan Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) must complete a foundation programme before commencing a Bachelors degree. Students with a Undergraduate Diploma (HND, ABE, CPA, IMIS), IB or A-levels will be considered for entry to Bachelor degree programmes
For Postgraduate Study
To undertake a Postgraduate Taught degree it is necessary to have high marks in a Bachelors degree. Students with the following qualifications will be considered: Bachelor Degree of 4 years (preferably Honours, Graduate Diplomas (PG Diploma), Masters Degrees To undertake a Postgraduate Research degree it is necessary to have high marks in a Bachelors degree, and usually a Masters degree. Students with the following qualifications will be considered: Bachelor Degree of 4 years (preferably Honours, Graduate Diplomas (PG Diploma), Masters Degrees
English Language Requirement
All students studying at Writtle must be able to demonstrate a sufficient understanding of the English language.

Including students from the European Union (EU)
Bachelor degrees, Foundation degrees and Higher Certificates: £13,335 per year
Postgraduate taught degrees:
- MA Landscape Architecture / MA Garden Design £14,445
- Master of Landscape Architecture 2 years full-time
Year 1 £9,630 - Year 2 £14,445*
* Maybe subject to an annual increase - All other postgraduate taught degrees £14,105
