Living on campus

We have spaces available in our onsite hall accommodation for late applicants.

Living on campus has many benefits - allowing you to be independent, whilst having the opportunity to develop close friendships, socialise whilst you study and remain close to teaching facilities. With all of our accommodation on the main campus, you won't have far to travel to your lectures or private study in the HE Hub. Once you have an offer to study with us, you can apply for a room in halls for September 2021 by emailing accommodation@writtle.ac.uk

September 2021 Delivery

Our next HE academic year will start as planned on 13th September and we cannot wait to welcome new students to our beautiful campus. University life has been a little different during the Covid-19 pandemic, but this hasn’t got in the way of our students achieving their goals.

With the pace of the vaccine roll out, we hope that the next academic year will allow us to deliver our courses normally. In line with this, we are planning for a full return to campus from September with a return to face to face teaching of all of our course programmes. As you would expect, our planning will be guided by Public Health and the Department of Education advice to the College and University sector. We are grateful for our small community and expansive, open campus which allows us to ensure that we are able to provide in person sessions in a Covid-19 safe environment.

We will be encouraging all students to have a Covid-19 vaccination and to take regular lateral flow tests. NHS England have produced and published a Frequently Asked Questions document for HE students on Covid-19 vaccinations.

Our Students Union is working harder than ever to make sure you receive the warmest welcome to our beautiful campus. Our Halls accommodation will be open and our residential support services and student union are working tirelessly to ensure your experience with us will be as close to normal as it can be, in a COVID-safe environment. Following UK government guidelines, we will open as many COVID-safe facilities as we can including the Library, HE Hub and our onsite catering outlets. We are currently planning for a full fresher’s week!
