About the Course
This Level 2 Certificate of Competence is for individuals who operate a manually fed woodchipper as part of their work in arboriculture, forestry or other industries. The one day integrated training and assessment programme covers preparation, maintenance and safe use of a woodchipper.
Entry Requirements
This intensive practical course requires a good level of physical fitness and an ability to study written technical information.
We are governed by Health and Safety Executive (HSE) regulations therefore candidates will not be allowed to start the course without wearing steel toe capped boots or shoes and suitable protective clothing which provides full cover for arms and legs. We strongly recommend candidates also wear a high visibility vest.
Candidates may prefer, for their own comfort and safety, to bring their own PPE; hat, gloves and ear defenders.
