Many employers get in contact with vacancies. There are part time jobs, from a few hours a week or 1-2 days a week, to harvest jobs for several weeks over the the summer months. These jobs can often provide very good experience alongside your course. There are many full time jobs too, for both further and higher education students, including graduate jobs.
