Learn the safe use and maintenance of tractor-mounted hedge and verge cutters with this one day, NPTC-accredited training and assessment programme.

Who should attend?

This training course is for experienced operators working in a commercial environment who wish to use a Tractor Mounted Hedge and Verge Cutter.

The Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 states “It is an offence to intentionally or recklessly take, damage, destroy or interfere with a nest of any wild bird whilst it is in use or being built.” With this is mind we do not run these courses during the main nesting season; between March and August.

Entry requirements

To join this course you must be a competent tractor driver; you should be certain of your ability before attending. You are required to sign and return an Experienced Tractor Driving Operator Declaration.

As we're governed by Health and Safety Executive (HSE) regulations, you will not be allowed to start the course without wearing steel toe-capped boots or shoes, gloves and suitable protective clothing which provides full cover for arms and legs. We strongly recommend also wearing a high-visibility vest.
