Tractor Driving and Operation (Lantra Awards)

About the Course

This 2 day integrated training and assessment programme is for operatives with at least 6 months experience in driving a tractor. Topics covered will include:

  • Safe use
  • Maintenance
  • Controls/functions and operations
  • Uses and applications including power take off (PTO) implements
The training is aimed at operators working in a commercial environment.

Entry Requirements

Candidates should ideally have six months experience of driving a tractor.

We are governed by Health and Safety Executive (HSE) regulations therefore candidates will not be allowed to start the course without wearing steel toe capped boots or shoes, gloves and suitable protective clothing which provides full cover for arms and legs. We strongly recommend also wearing a high visibility vest.

Useful Information

Free parking is available on campus; a permit will be issued and should be clearly displayed.
