Units 215 & 216 Prepare and Operate a Ride-on Mower

Candidates can choose 2 of the following 3 cutting mechanisms:

Cylinder / Rotary / Flail

This one day integrated training and assessment programme for experienced operators will cover the following:

• Settings and adjustments
• Quality of finish
• Safety and maintenance
• Operational techniques
• Public area responsibilities and productivity

The training is aimed at operators working in a commercial environment.

We are governed by Health and Safety Executive (HSE) regulations therefore candidates will not be allowed to start the course without wearing steel toe capped boots or shoes, gloves and suitable protective clothing which provides full cover for arms and legs. We strongly recommend also wearing a high visibility vest.

Free parking is available on campus; a permit will be issued and should be clearly displayed.
