About the Course
Fruit trees should be pruned early spring before buds break and trees are still dormant. This one day course with a mix of theory and practical sessions is aimed at those who are unsure how to keep their fruit trees in proper order. The course is especially suited to the novice or those with little experience. Topics covered include:
- Formative Pruning
- Pests & Diseases
- Selecting the correct variety
Entry Requirements
Candidates are required to wear work clothes suitable for the weather including sturdy footwear, preferably with steel toe caps and work gloves.
You are also asked to use your own tools so please bring secateurs, loppers and a Pruning Saw.
