MSc Crop Production (Horticulture)

How to apply Come to an Open Day

Introduction

Explore how fresh food and flowers are grown and transported, and approaches to sustainability, with our MSc Crop Production (Horticulture) at ARU Writtle.

The production horticulture industry has seen great change in recent years, in terms of technology, production techniques, and where and how crops are grown.

With population growth and climate change, it’s vital to continue investigating new growing systems and crops which can be grown sustainably.

As a student at ARU Writtle you’ll have access to a research glasshouse, our campus farm and the Postharvest Unit, which undertakes research and trials with commercial companies. We’ll also arrange visits to growers and post-harvest facilities.

This gives you the opportunity to study a range of crops and develop an understanding of the supply chain from field through to sale.

On campus, you’ll hear from visiting speakers and build your awareness of the latest trends and research in industry.

Our Masters degree is ideal if you want to develop your knowledge of crop production, and take the next step in your career.
