About the Course
During this 3 hour course you will be provided with the knowledge and welfare aspects of loading and unloading horses. The course is a mixture of both theory and practical elements and topics covered include checking the floor and ramps, opening and lowering ramps, adjusting fixtures and fittings, leading a horse into the vehicle, securing a horse for transport and leading a horse out of the vehicle.
The training also provides a Coach Endorsement opportunity for those undertaking BHS Stage 2. If you meet the criteria your BHS Equine Excellence Skills Record will be signed.

Entry Requirements
Minimum age 14 (Parental consent required).
Please come appropriately dressed for an equine yard.

Free parking is available on campus; a permit will be issued and should be clearly displayed.
