Entry requirements

As we're governed by Health and Safety Executive (HSE) regulations, you will not be allowed to start the course without wearing steel toe-capped boots or shoes, gloves and suitable protective clothing which provides full cover for arms and legs. We strongly recommend also wearing a high-visibility vest.

You're required to bring your own personal protective equipment, but if this presents a problem we can provide:

  • brushcutter face shield to EN166 and hearing protection to EN352
  • safety glasses to EN166
  • safety helmet to EN397 for protection against falling objects and overhead obstructions, incorporating ear protection to EN352. Under a mesh visor as face protection, safety glasses to EN166 must be worn as eye protection
  • gloves – adequate to protect hands against flying debris.

By making a booking you are declaring yourself medically fit to participate in this course.
