Learn to work safely with animals while exploring areas such as genetics, biochemistry and microbiology with our Extended Diploma in Animal Management (Science) at Writtle College.
This advanced-level course lets you combine your interests in animals and science.
You’ll learn how to manage feeding and nutrition, and be responsible for planning and carrying out animal husbandry health and handling. You’ll also explore animal behaviour, animal breeds and welfare and business skills.
There’s a focus on animal science throughout, with course content including cell biology and genetics, biochemistry and microbiology, and science investigation and report writing.
You’ll gain valuable experience with a work placement too, while completing a portfolio of work that contributes toward your final grade.
