Pet Sitting (City & Guilds) 014620 - Level 2 Certificate of Technical Competence

About the Course

If you are looking for a career within the animal care industry, this Ofqual regulated qualification is aimed at you.

The successful completion of this 3 day course will demonstrate to employers or the public that you have the practical skills and knowledge they are looking for when seeking the services of a Pet Sitter.

The qualification covers the skills you will need to work as a Pet Sitter. Mandatory content covers:

  • Roles and responsibilities of a pet sitter
  • Health and Behaviour Assessments
  • Legislation and Codes of Practice
  • Problems, injuries and emergencies
Assessments are completed through written, practical and oral tasks.

Participants must be over 16

Entry Requirements

Participants must already hold a level 2 qualification, in a related Animal Care subject. E.g. Level 2 Certificate of Technical Competence in Dog Walking (City & Guilds) 0146-21.

As with all practical courses participants are required to wear sturdy footwear.

By making a booking you are declaring yourself medically fit to participate in the course.

Useful Information

Catering facilities are limited at weekends therefore participants are advised to bring a packed lunch and all refreshments needed for the day.

Free parking is available on campus; a permit will be issued and should be clearly displayed.
