US Federal Loans

End of US Federal Loans at Writtle University College

Writtle University College is withdrawing from the William D Ford Direct Loan [US Federal Loans] program due to the high level of administration required when compared to the low number of students who benefit from the facility.

This means that any American students joining Writtle University College after March 2020 will not have access to Federal Loans nor to private loans such as Sallie Mae.

For continuing students, the academic year 2020/21 will be the "teach-out" period during which any continuing student who already has federal loans will be able to receive loans only for 2020/21.

After March 2020, Writtle University College will not be eligible to issue federal loans to new students nor to any student who does not already have federal loans at Writtle.

After March 2020, Writtle University College will not be eligible to certify private loans such as Sallie Mae for any student.
