Instructor in Dog Training
About the Course
This two day course is suitable for anyone wishing to start instructing others at dog training classes or who is already assisting or running puppy parties. The training will provide a good insight on how to set up and start dog training classes.
Experienced trainers will further their knowledge, correct faults and improve instructional techniques.

Class control
Instructor positioning
Class positioning
Basic exercises and component parts
Faults and corrections
Class plans and organisation
Participants without a dog must request one at the time of booking.
Anyone wishing to pursue a career in dog training is advised to attend the Level 2 Canine Care, Training and Management course also offered at Writtle University College.

Entry Requirements
Please bring suitable outdoor clothing and sturdy footwear.
Please note:
Dogs must be kept on the lead at all times unless otherwise directed by the instructor
Bitches in season should not attend
By making a booking you are declaring yourself medically fit to participate in the course
Vaccinations must be up-to-date on all dogs attending Writtle College courses
Please do not bring your dog if he or she is unwell. Any dog suspected of carrying a contagious disease will not be allowed to attend
No dogs are to be left unattended in vehicles on campus under any circumstances
If your dog fouls the training area please clear it up immediately
Writtle University College reserves the right to refuse attendance to any dog considered to be a danger to the instructor, other participants and/or their dogs

Free parking is available on campus; a permit will be issued and should be clearly displayed.
