Events and Initiatives

The Widening Participation and Outreach team make every effort to attend all school events they are invited to, and aim to host as many events on our campus as possible. The work we deliver in schools and on our campus strives to advise, inspire and inform students, teachers, advisors and parents/guardians to ensure all young people are informed about their course and career options, regardless of their background. The activities we offer are all linked to the national curriculum and the eight Gatsby Benchmarks of Good Career Guidance, ensuring they complement delivery of other activities at the schools and colleges we work with.

Taster Days & Campus visits

We want our taster days to be as unique as the students that attend them. To ensure this, we have designed several workshops that could run on a taster day (subject to departmental availability) for you to pick and choose from.

Whether it's a half-day visit for a specific subject area or a full day of activities exploring the broad range of courses we offer at Writtle University College, you can design a day with your students in mind.

School Events

We welcome requests from schools and colleges to attend events to speak to students and parents about life at Writtle University College, our courses and careers. We are also happy to support mock interviews and to provide in-school workshops.
