College and Apprenticeship course applications
Applications for most courses can be made at any time leading up to the course start date in the Autumn term, however early application is advised.
If you are applying for the Level 3 Diploma in Veterinary Nursing, application deadlines are as follows:
- Friday 20th January 2023 for February 2023 start
- Friday 11th August 2023 for September 2023 start

It is essential that you provide a valid email address and telephone number on your application form so that you do not miss any communications from us regarding your application.
Reference Request Form
As part of the admission process we ask all applicants to provide a reference. Please ensure that either your current school/college completes the Reference Request Form as soon as possible, as this will form part of the admissions process. It is also important that your predicted grades are included as this will allow us to make a full assessment of your application. Completed references should be emailed to the admissions department, admissions@writtle.ac.uk.
Applicants who are no longer in education should provide a reference from their current or most recent work experience employer, volunteering supervisor or trainer. Please note that the reference cannot be from a family member or a friend.
How is my application dealt with?
When you submit your application you will receive an acknowledgement email from the Admissions Team. You will shortly be contacted again with additional information which may include an offer letter or an invitation to interview, depending on your chosen course.
College Course Events
All applicants are encouraged to attend one of our College Course Events where you can find out everything you need to know about our College Courses, by joining us online at one of our 'Subject Webinars' or visiting us at one of our 'College Course Open Days'.
Our College Course Open Days give you the opportunity to view the campus, meet teaching staff and members of our professional support staff who will be available to discuss finance, transport and student support.
