About the Course
This two day theory based programme is designed to guide those wishing to set up a Dog Walking and Pet Sitting business. It will provide candidates with the foundation knowledge and skills necessary to give them the confidence to start a business and communicate with clients.
Day one covers self-evaluation, market research, marketing, defining services, price setting, training requirements, legislation, insurance, health and safety, occupational standards, terms and conditions, documentation and record keeping.
Day two includes a practical approach to facing clients, day to day procedures, animal health and safety, use of equipment, scheduling a typical day and factors which can effect dog walking/management.
We will also touch on home-boarding, housesitting and future training needs.
