BHS Stage 2 Care

About the Course

This training programme is aimed at those who wish to progress from the basic principles of horse care achieved in BHS Stage One.

Whether working with Riding School horses or thoroughbreds, holders of this qualification can prove they have the essential skills to work as an assistant groom at any yard.

The course will cover Learning Outcomes 1 - 11 as listed in the The BHS Equine Excellence Pathway log book.

Holders of the BHS Stage Two certificate are able to proceed on to BHS Stage Three. A full and detailed syllabus may be obtained from the British Horse Society website.

Entry Requirements

Minimum age to do BHS Stage 2 exams is 16 (Parental consent required) - BHS Stage 1 is a pre-requisite for this BHS examination.

Please come appropriately dressed for an equine yard.
