In addition to Government-funded support, the University College also provides its own bursaries for students from lower income backgrounds who meet the high standards for admission onto our courses. The following students will not be eligible: EU nationals and international students.
  • New undergraduate students on household incomes under £25,000 and in receipt of the full state maintenance loan will receive a bursary of £750.
  • New undergraduate students on household incomes between £25,000 and £30,000 will receive a bursary of £300.
  • New undergraduate students on household incomes between £30,000 and £40,000 will receive a bursary of £200.

Students eligible for the Writtle University College Bursary will receive 50% of the award in February 2019 and the remaining 50% in May 2019, paid directly into the students' bank account. New part time students may also be eligible to a pro rata amount of this bursary.
