Graduate shortlisted for Equine Thesis of the Year!

Caitlyn Cuthbert, who graduated this year with a BSc (Hons) Equine Behavioural Science, has been shortlisted as a finalist for the British Equestrian Trade Association’s Equine Thesis of the Year competition!

Caitlyn will be going to a special reception at De Vere Staverton Estate, Northampton, with Rosa Verwijs, Senior Lecturer in Equine Behaviour and Nutrition, to present her research to a panel of expert judges. The winner receives a cash prize of £250 and a trophy.

Last month, she presented her research - entitled The Effect of Isolation on Equine Behaviour, Heart Rate and Heart Variability While Exercised on a Horse Walker - at the International Society of Equitation Science’s annual conference in Rome.
