International Country Text - Writtle University College

We have been welcoming students to Writtle from Japan for many years and our staff are very familiar with the Japanese education system and qualifications. We look forward to welcoming you to our small and specialist University College.

Established in 1893, Writtle University College has been producing leaders in the land-based industries and organisations for more than 120 years. Writtle is one of the oldest specialist institutions in the UK and offers a range of land-based, design and sport courses at various levels of academic study including undergraduate and postgraduate.

Our campus

Writtle University College’s campus is a friendly and safe community where students from a variety of cultures and countries can mix and establish lifelong friendships.

Living in Writtle

Writtle is a quintessential English village in Essex with lovingly maintained Tudor houses, an ancient church and pubs. Its historical records go back as far as 1086. Its proximity to London makes it an ideal place to live as we have the best of both worlds, a tranquil place to live and close enough to one of the most diverse and exciting cities in the world.

Trains to London run every 10 minutes from Chelmsford city train station, which is 10 minutes away from the University College. There is a free shuttle bus that can take you to the station and you can be in London in less than 40 minutes.

Students with the Upper Secondary School Leaving Certificate combined with a successfully completed appropriate Foundation programme will be considered for admission to our Bachelor degree courses.
