Introduction

Develop your practical skills in horse riding or stud work, and explore equine theory, with our hands-on Level 2 Certificate in Equine Care at Writtle College.

This Level 2 course is ideal if you’re looking to work with horses and want to learn more about their care, handling and management.

As a student at Writtle College you’ll be based in our Equine Training and Development Centre. Part of our rural 150-hectare campus, it’s home to around 70 horses, a stable yard, and a range of equine facilities.

You’ll also gain valuable experience with a 150-hour work placement in the equine industry. We’ll help you find a suitable placement and monitor your progress while you’re there.
