About the Course

This twelve hour course complies with Government guidelines for anyone working with children under 8 years of age and/or babies.

Participants will be shown what must be included in a first aid kit together with resuscitation techniques using models of babies and children so you will have an opportunity to practice on models of different ages. Topics covered will include, choking, bleeding, sickness, fever and injury to bones, muscles and the head.

The programme also includes how to record accidents and incidents appropriately.

Entry Requirements

Please come appropriately dressed for practical sessions.

Useful Information

Free parking is available on campus; a permit will be issued and should be clearly displayed.

Participant may wish to bring their own packed lunch, although the Tea Rooms and college Garden Room restaurant are both open for lunch. Refreshments will be provided.
