Established in 1893, Writtle University College has been producing leaders in the land-based industries and organisations for over 100 years. Writtle is one of the oldest specialist colleges supporting careers focused on Business and the "Green Industries". It has a well established international reputation with students studying here from over 50 nations currently, and with many of its past students now working, many in senior positions, in over 100 nations worldwide. Writtle also has numerous international links across five continents, including North America, South and East Asia, Europe, Africa, and Australia, and these are continuing to expand.

Writtle University College campus is a unique place. It is set in its own 220 hectare estate with landscaped gardens, working animal units, construction areas, workshops and retail, business and leisure operations.

The majority of our students spend a large proportion of their course time using the diversity of the natural and built environments on campus for case study work, practical learning and hands-on work experience and business training.
